This Privacy Policy describes how Huddle ("Huddle", "we", "us")
collects, uses, and shares information about you when you use our mobile application
(the "App"). By using the App, you agree to the practices described below.
1. Who we are
Huddle is operated by an independent developer based in the European Union.

the data controller for your personal data within the meaning of the EU
General Data Protection Regulation.
2. Information we collect
2.1 Information you provide
- Account information — your name, email address, and profile photo from your Google account when you sign in.
- Profile content — biography, links to your social profiles (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok), and any profile photo you upload.
- User-generated content — the text of the "posts" you post, comments, likes, bookmarks, and follow relationships.
2.2 Information collected automatically
- Approximate location — when you post a post, the geographic coordinates of the place you select are stored. Coordinates are rounded to approximately 111 m precision to protect your exact location.
- Device information — push-notification tokens (so we can send you alerts) and basic device identifiers needed to keep your session secure.
- Diagnostic data — Firebase logs anonymized crash and error data so we can fix bugs.
3. How we use information
- To operate core App features (sign-in, posting posts, social interactions).
- To show you nearby posts from other users based on the approximate location of your selected place.
- To send push notifications for follows, comments, and likes.
- To moderate content automatically and remove illegal or abusive material.
- To keep the App secure and prevent abuse.
4. Who we share information with
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with the following
processors, strictly to operate the App:
- Google LLC — Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, Cloud Messaging. Data is stored in Google data centers (EU and US regions).
- Apple Inc. — Apple Push Notification service (APNs) is used to deliver notifications to your device.
Other users of the App can see public content you create: your display name, profile photo,
posts, comments, likes, and follows. Do not share information in a post that you wouldn't
share publicly.
5. Legal basis (GDPR)
We process your data on the following legal bases under the EU General Data Protection Regulation:
- Performance of a contract — to provide the App's features you signed up for.
- Legitimate interests — to keep the App secure, prevent abuse, and improve the service.
- Consent — for push notifications and any optional features you enable.
6. Data retention
We keep your account data for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account,
we delete your profile, posts, comments, likes, and bookmarks within 30 days. Backups are
purged within 90 days.
7. Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate data (you can edit most fields directly in the App).
- Delete your account and associated data.
- Export your data in a portable format.
- Restrict or object to processing.
- Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (in Spain: AEPD — aepd.es).

8. Minors
Huddle is not directed at people under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
If you believe someone under 18 has provided us with personal data, contact us so we can
delete it.
9. Security
We use industry-standard security measures including HTTPS, Firebase Security Rules,
encrypted storage, and rate limiting. No system is 100% secure; if you suspect a vulnerability,
please report it to iwant2025dev@gmail.com.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of
the page reflects the most recent change. Significant changes will be announced inside the
App before they take effect.
